The Mission and Purpose of GraceChurch
I. What We're Called to do…
“With a regional call, GCI is
more than just a neighborhood church, our vision is
to reach out with the Gospel to influence and effect
a change on the spiritual, social, and political landscape
of the region.”
A. Our vision has 2 major
thrusts:
- to build the individual, build the
family, build the Kingdom of God, and…
- to be a beacon of the supernatural
for the region.
“The Body of Christ is not called
to make converts, but to make disciples! A disciple
is a passionate follower of Christ! It takes equipping
to succeed in the Christian life! That is what we’re
endeavoring to do! Building up the whole man, spirit,
soul, and body, GCI is affecting positive change in
every area of people’s lives!
“In addition to that, we are
preaching and demonstrating that Christ is not only
Savior and Lord, but that He is also the Healer, the
Deliverer, and the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost! Paul
told the Corinthians that he did not come to them with
the enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration
of the Spirit and of power! Each and every week people
are encountering the living Christ and lives are being
forever changed by both the message and the power of
the Gospel!”
II. Who We Are...
The people who attend GCI are
not perfect, but we are real. To be real is to be authentic,
sincere, and transparent. Don’t come expecting
to see perfection, or a people without fault. Come expecting
to see everyday people, with jobs, families, problems,
and challenges, who are becoming more like Jesus Christ
every day! Genuine people learning to overcome through
the Greater One who lives within!
